Key Responsibilities

As a Newspaper Delivery Driver, your main tasks will include:

✅ Collecting Newspapers
Pick up newspapers from the printing press or distribution center at scheduled times.

✅ Planning Delivery Routes
Organize and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely distribution while saving fuel and effort.

✅ Loading and Transporting Bundles
Load newspapers safely into your vehicle and ensure secure handling during transport.

✅ Delivering to Homes and Businesses
Distribute newspapers to subscribers, businesses, or designated locations according to the delivery schedule.

✅ Maintaining Delivery Records
Keep accurate logs of completed deliveries, missed addresses, or customer issues.

✅ Handling Customer Queries
Respond politely to customer inquiries, resolve minor issues on the spot, and escalate larger concerns to supervisors.

✅ Ensuring Vehicle Safety
Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the delivery vehicle, checking fuel, tires, and safety equipment.

✅ Following Safety and Driving Protocols
Comply with all road safety rules, traffic laws, and company policies for secure delivery operations.

✅ Team Coordination
Communicate with supervisors and distribution staff to report delays, incidents, or issues that affect timely delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

✔ Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
✔ Good time management and punctuality.
✔ Ability to read maps, follow GPS, and plan efficient routes.
✔ Physical stamina to lift and handle bundles of newspapers.
✔ Strong attention to detail to ensure correct deliveries.
✔ Good communication and interpersonal skills.
✔ Reliability and sense of responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional but beneficial):

✔ Prior experience in delivery driving, courier services, or logistics.

Work Schedule & Environment

This is a full-time, on-site role, typically requiring early morning shifts or late-night work, depending on newspaper schedules. You may also be required to work weekends and holidays to meet delivery deadlines.

The work environment is primarily outdoors and involves driving, navigation, and occasional physical effort in lifting bundles. Clear routines and structured responsibilities make the job consistent and predictable.

All new hires will receive proper training and supervision to ensure safe, efficient delivery practices.
