Job Summary:
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Fitness Apparel Designer to design stylish, functional, and performance-driven activewear. The ideal candidate should understand fitness trends, fabric functionality, and modern design aesthetics. This role is open to freshers and experienced designers who are passionate about sportswear and active fashion.
Responsibilities
- Design fitness and activewear clothing such as leggings, sports bras, tops, shorts, and jackets
- Create sketches, concepts, and technical drawings
- Research current fitness fashion trends, colors, and materials
- Select suitable fabrics based on comfort, durability, and performance
- Work with pattern makers and production teams to ensure accurate designs
- Review samples and suggest improvements
- Ensure designs meet quality, comfort, and functionality standards
- Maintain organized design files and collections
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of apparel design and activewear trends
- Understanding of fitness fabrics (stretch, moisture-wicking, breathable materials)
- Ability to create sketches (hand-drawn or digital)
- Attention to detail and creativity
- Basic knowledge of design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar)
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for fitness, sports, or fashion design
Preferred Qualifications (Optional)
- Diploma or degree in Fashion Design or Apparel Design
- Experience designing sportswear or fitness clothing
- Knowledge of garment construction and sizing
- Understanding of sustainable or eco-friendly materials
